Living in the moment, being happy being bored…
Sitting inside a cute apartment in Paris where I can see a garden in the courtyard. I'm bored and I don't really have anything in mind. But the first thing that comes to mind is my girl pouncing around the garden, and just imagining seeing her look at me as I gaze at her from the window. I don't want anything more than to see her happy face and her pretty smile. The comfort in seeing her so carefree. That kind of carefreeness would make me so pleased as a partner.
The most sensational feelings are those that are experienced vicariously through those we love and care for deeply. Hearing their laughter and being obsessed with their smile. Seeing the wrinkles in their eyes as they are happy. It's those little things that produce those good feeling hormones in our body and connect us to our loved ones even more. It's those feelings that give our life meaning. A life that is at peace.
Sometimes life does't have to have to be filled with profound things. We don't always have to plan things for the month, or next month. Even though bigger things in life can give satisfaction in themselves; achieving goals and being happy with how far you've come in life are all good feelings too. But sometimes it's good to just observe your surroundings, and pay attention to what's happening in your life now. Living in the moment is an auspicious skill to learn to really get the most out of life.
Next time you see your partner on a mundane Tuesday. Just look at them, observe the cutest and most minute details. You'll be glad to have found them in your life.
